Maybe if they were going to be a number 1 seed. Ive always liked Kapernick big fan of him at Nevada but to me 5-1 theres no value there. Hes gonna go into Atlanta or New York in January and win?
They are the hot team right now but in a month? Who knows.

What are you even talking about? They are a number 2 seed ten games into the season. Falcons still have the Saints, Giants and the Lions on their schedule....

I have a hard time seeing New York seed higher than SF.
Agree value is gone for their futures.

As good as atl is at home ain't no one scared to go there in playoffs. Any of the physical ass teams in NFC will go to atl and knock them off...

I strongly disagree. +500 is GOOD value. This is probably the best defense in the league and the offense has gotten much better with Kaepernick. I see them winning the Super Bowl. They are definitely my pick.

Kaepernick will inevitably cost them a playoff game - dont forget he's basically a rookie experience wise - all 1st starters struggle at some point

Harbaugh is a GREAT coach. He knows what he's doing. I highly doubt Kaepernick is gonna be the guy come playoff time. Kaepernick is just giving them the Offensive confidence they need to close out the season.

Don't matter if he is a rookie, their chances are still better with him than Smith.............

The only problem I have with this line of thought is Harbaugh. That guy made a QB out of Alex Smith. I am not too concerned with "rookie" QB problems, considering he has been playing in spurts all season long.

Look at the teams Atlanta has played compared to the teams San Francisco has played. The Niners have been more impressive and would beat the Falcons in Atlanta.

That's possible, but their second string QB is still the guy with the best completion percentage and fifth best passer rating in the league. Even if Kap has some kind of meltdown in the playoffs, it's unlikely Harbaugh would leave him in long enough to cost them the game. Smith has proven that he can play well in the playoffs if they need to call on him.

I locked them in at +1000 before the season started. I still think +500 would be pretty good value had I not already bet them. Will be much lower by playoff time

the only reason im staying away from this future is because of the chance that alex smith enters a playoff game.
that would bring the "true" line for san fran to win the superbowl to +5000000000000000000000

The fact that the 49ers are favored to win this NFC with basically a rookie QB is rediculous. Over guys like Manning, Ryan,Rodgers and even to an extent Cutler. Lets not crown there ass just yet. There is no value at all that I am seeing in current Super Bowl odds with 5 teams under 10-1. Id be very suprised if one of the big 3 from the AFC didnt win the Super Bowl at this point. Wish I had taken the 22-1 that I could have gotten earlier in the season on Denver.

Giants already completely dominated them on the road once. If the giants are on top of their game no chance niners beat them

The Giants just played their second impressive game of the year so everyone is in love with them again. Must be nice playing sports on the East Coast.
How come the Giants get a pass on losing to the Eagles yet the Niners' bad game against the Giants proves that they can't succeed in the playoffs?

not a bad idea. steelers need a new long-term backup and he's perfect for that role.

if it comes down to nyg i will start hedging for sure..hopefully it works out where they dont have to play them as that only team i think can beat sf in the nfc...

If SF goes with their new found rookie QB anything can happen. They may have had 2 good games with him as a starter, but that isn't very telling. First game vs Bears they would have won with just about any QB. Last game against the Saints it was the defense who stepped up huge for them. I have a real tough time to see any value what so ever in +500 on ANY team in the NFC, especially one with a rookie QB.
