At the request of many email questions, I have been repeatedly asked to mention what Stylistic is playing. She has been very good at what she does, and there is a method to her madness.
So today we will check in on her plays for Friday, and i will share them with the public. Bear in mind that she only makes plays on two teams period, and those teams are Charlotte and Sacramento. So although it may seem strange, it actually seems to be working for her because as she puts it "has a finger on the pulse" of those teams, knowing when they will win and when they will get a defeat.
For tomorrow's action she likes Charlotte+8 (she points to their ats record against the Hawks), and Sacramento+4 (with her rationale being that the Trailblazers have been on a continuous road trip). Handicapping at it's simple roots.
As for myself, I am going all Texas tomorrow, as I like the Rockets (spread unannounced), and Spurs (line also unannounced). The Spurs have the Jazz number at home, and the banged up Rockets need to show that they can win without Yao manning the middle.
I think the Rockets get it done short handed against the Wizards, a team that I saw play for the first time the other day, and I was taken aback by their lack of enthusiasm and energy. They lack a defensive presence in the middle. I will more than likely buy a point or two for the Rockets as once again they are short handed and Yao has been ruled out for Friday's matchup.
As far the Spurs are concerned, they played stuck in the mud the last time they played as predicted, trying not to lose rather than playing to win, which is a recipe for disaster. Utah is playing well at home, but as usual they are one of the worst road teams in the NBA. I still don't understand how they constantly underachieve even in key situations on the road. Their style of play is taylor made for the Spurs style of play. I would like to see the Spurs get a point or two at home tomorrow. If they are favored by more than 3, then more than likely I won't play them, and just stick with the Rockets.
Rockets minus the chalk
Spurs? who knows if they will be favored or an underdog
