back in 8th grade used to play for traveling prep team that was very good. Our coach got very sick and couldn't coach the season, we got stuck with some hamburger that knew absolutely nothing about basketball and pretty much ruined our season. anyway about half way through the season, we were practicing, skins vs shirts, he decided to join in, was on the skins team (guy was fat disgusting slob)...he continued with usual verbal lashings in which he had no idea what he was talking about but insisted on screaming over and over anyway...finally I had enough and with my smart ass mouth at that age, I couldn't help it as the fat slob was shirtless, hairy ass chest, screaming at us, so i say "hey coach you lift?" he looked at me like he was ready to kill me and said "what?!?!?" I said "do you lift? I mean you do look like you are in great physical shape, since you seem to not know anything about basketball maybe you can teach us about getting in shape"

dude lost it, made us run suicides the rest of practice and eventually ending up not being able to coach the team anymore.


i'll never forget that asshole. we had such talent on that team and he ruined it all.

I just want to weigh in here; I'm not going to defend the actions of the coach I was not proud of what I saw but this is a mans game, not some penetrating soap opera, if management feels he was out of line they will address it end of story.

Old Indiana State coach back in the 90's and earl 2000's, Royce Waltman, at halftime would tell his team to send out the strongest guy to the hallway to fight him. He did it to somehow motivate them. He ended up getting fired....
