Was wondering what sort of winnings will get a book looking at reducing your wager limits and which books, if any, are the worst for this?

I hate to admit it but never. The majority of guys that get limited use a line service and beat the bookies to line changes. There are only a handful of guys in the world the books are afraid of the vast majority are angle shooters who pick off a sportsbooks stale numbers when they get lazy and dont move them when the market moves.

Most guys do not have limits reduced, many say they do but it is just an act. The major sports rarely will you have your limits cut.

It's not about absolute winnings but the types of bet you place.

The only way you get your limits lowered, are if you follow line movements ... other than that they feel you got lucky and your streak will end soon.

I find this to be an idealized over-simplification. At least that's what my experience suggests.
I feel like that's the way things probaby should be, however many books are afraid of a lot more than a handful of guys. Many books appear to limit just based on +/- dollars without any consideration for methods or line movements.
Those dollar levels vary wildly. There is also huge variation in these practices from book-to-book.
The thread question is phrased to ask for personal experience. I personally have only been limited 3 times that I remember. One was at Bet365. It was after a couple years of pretty serious betting. I couldn't even guess where I stood for lifetime balance.
I got limited at now-defunct books called BCN and US Sportsbook. They were both about the same as I recall. I got off to a hot start and got limited. Probably up a thousand bucks after about 5 bets or something like that.
I speak to many many players and hav heard a good number of stories but that is my personal experience with this.

If you beat them to the line move, a lot of books will limit you.
If you beat them on exotics (like teasers and props), books will limit you based on your net win (props) or the types of bets you make (teasers).
