I dont think Matchbook is taken a shot at players. But if they do seed their own exchange by the use of market makers, then they could look at which exact time would be the most profitable to cancel wagers.

I dont think they would do this. But they do have the possibility.

Matchbook somehow posts these "technical difficulty" messages for hours, yet can't get their site functioning, how is this acceptable? Whatever an exchange needs to do to avoid this garbage needs to be done, I don't care if it's a million dollar investment in a room full of servers this crap ruins their site

It's happened to Betfair before, so it's nothing new in the field, and is a hazard of web based platforms. Where I think they should increase efforts is having an off-site updated database, that can generate and e-mail out position statements to concerned clients at times such as these.

How does creditwagering maintain up 100% whilst matchy and pinny are up 50%, can't they consult with CW and find out what they are doing so different to satisfy their customers, meanwhile every1 knocks CW whilst matchy gets all the praise

Ref: the top of this page, seeding the market is completely different to using market makers, unless you're saying they do it with Matchbook's funds? I believe they just offer commission discounts, and I don't believe they favour market makers above other clients (to do so would be counter-productive anyway).

And BetTilImBroke; quoting 50% uptimes for Matchbook and Pinny and 100% for creditwager does nothing to help your credibility, and in fact says it all about your motive/raison d'être

like i said before .....there will be no bets cancelled before 7:25 est time because everything was fine until that time ...that time is not official but it was roughly that time...

and how do i know because 2min before i called them is when the site went down and i called them at 7:26pm est

I do not know what kind of arrangement Matchbook has with its market makers. But I do know that I have previously worked for an exchange where I also was a market maker. And who says that this could not happen at Matchbook.

Some of those very posters move more money through matchbook in a day than you will bet in your life. Learn who you are talking too.


Maybe you should tell some of the extortionists they should target CW instead of Pinnacle -- I'm sure they could huge sums from a place with $12 limits.

Bet 2000 games a year and you will probably be broke. At least I know I am making money each day. 50 to 200 each day makes me between 1500 and 3000 a mth. How many of you are so successful consistently.

I don't trade or seed at matchbook, I was just pointing something out to BTIB.

Well it all turned out well. A small profit on the day. I think some posters are a little paranoid.

Yes I ended up with a position on Vancouver, so all's well that ends well.. probably about balances it out with last time when I lost a chunk.
