I am sure you know what this means; this content will lose its value then. It will be so much harder for ANY player to find a good line.

I see your point, but I'd go the other way. Prices that anyone can see for free will introduce the concept of line shopping for those who would normally stay at one book for the season - why would someone want to bet at -140 at Olympic when they can see that they can bet for -135 at Pinnacle? Transparancy in the industry should induce competition and see better prices being offered all round.

Well that's the theory anyway. It was perfect competition in my old economics classes.

Best thing a line service does is see where money is being bet and also saves you time as long as lines match the book on the line screen.
