#3I've barley watched the Dolphins this year, and am wondering what a true Dolphin's fan has to say about him; someone that has watched every game, and paid attention to him.Comment -

#10Healthy Chad Pennington Healthy Ronnie Brown and I repeat Healthy Ricky Williams, and the defense has played alot better due to the fact that their not always on the field the whole game like last year, because of less turnovers by the offense and much more production offensively, come on guys last year they were starting Cleo Lemon for most of the year along with John Beck and who was their runningback last year ? yeah thats right I don't know either !Comment -

#14Efficient passing game, 2 headed running game, Defense who can get pressure on the quarterback, channing crowder and matt roth are both solid defenders. There a good team but not dominant on any level really, which is why the weak schedule does factor in, they face a good defense and there finished which keeps there defense on the field for long drives and the games pretty much over. With that said i can see them improving and possibly being a contender next year depending how the off-season goesComment -

#15There are a bunch of reasons, but hte biggest I think is the pick up of Chad Pennington. all of the other ones contributed, but chad is the biggest.Comment -

I don't think it's easy to point the finger at one single reason or even a handful of reasons why the Dolphins are solid thus far. Here's my list anyway:
1. Pennington. Best QB production for Miami since Marino. There's just no way to win in the NFL without solid QB play.
2. O-line. Credit Sparano, as this is his specialty. Credit Parcells for drafting Long. Credit the players for playing. Credit Pennington for his experience & leadership. Credit the RBs for being studs.
3. Defense. Parcells' teams always play tough on D, gotta give Tuna some props on this one. But Miami has been decent on D since Wannestadt, so they had the players. It was tough to know how they'd do without Zach & Jason.
4. Ricky & Ronnie. These guys are great when they're playing.
5. Luck. The team has been healthy, good chemistry, etc. Credit Parcells for putting quality guys on the roster, but credit the players for walking the line.
I think the whole franchise in Miami has been bleeding for a return to greatness, so there was positive momentum built into this team even before Parcells took office. But Tuna did what he does and made another loser into a winner. I think it would be much tougher to go into a city like Cincy, Cleveland or Oakland and turn things around. But I would've said the same thing about Dallas before Parcells showed up.Comment -

#18Its going to be interesting to see how they do in the draft this year... basically all they need is a talented TE a WR and some help on Defense...could all easily be solved this offseason by TUNAComment -
