1st and goal from the 2 yd line with the clock at 1:15 and running and you call a timeout.

why not simply drain the whole playcock and call a running play and if that doesn't work, THEN call a TO. you still have 2 left at that point and could still call another running play or two.

i love how the rams and fisher think they've actually accomplished something here. they should've lost outright there and don't even know it. the niners should've gotten the ball back with 25 seconds at best. instead the rams give them 2 free timeouts and the ball back with 1:15 to go.
