Big 3 need to file Chapter 11 bankrupcy and reorganize every level of their management and business plans including the union benefits and wages. Otherwise if they get the $25 billion and will piss through that in a couple of months and ask for another bailout.

I have just one simple question. Who is doing their books the same guy for all three. How does major companys go broke at the same time? It's B********hit. Does anyone spend time looking at the checkbook ne more. My company we forecast 1 year ,3year plans. I do believe they didn't forcast this. I would like to see them fix their own problem. The goverment didn't get them into this mess. I think the UAW is nothing but an anchor on our work force. Let them file reorganize and tell the UAW to beat it. They hire the same workers back doing thier same jobs for less money(they dont pay union dues ne more) give them a good benefit package the companies get the same employeesthey save money and they tell their employees how to get the job done. If they dont want to do that,tell them to hit the door and hire the next person standing in the HR office wanting a job. We have about 750,000 looking for a job.

They could be making $20/hr and they'd still be in the same bleak situation! Why not blame the powers that be for hiring shitty engineers and designers? And other terrible financial decisions such as refusing to build reliable fuel efficient cars until it was too late?

daggerkobe, your right and i acknowledged that in my original post , they have been grossly mis-managed. BUT they are a big part of the problem turn the screws so hard to them for more and more.

if the UAW wants to help why didnt that UAW leader get up and say we will take a 60% reduction in pay? then maybe the government will bail them out, BUT NO they just want more money from governement to maintain their lifestyle.
