Public perception is not on North Carolina...My sites show me it has only 47% on NC. Kentucky is garbage. You lose to VMI I dont care what you say you suck. They will be ran right out of the building tomorrow night rest assure. North Carolina's second 5 would beat this team by 25. Take UNC early and please do not try and be fooled into any nonsense that would involve taking a hapless Kentucky team.

FWIW I'm a hard-core UK fan (live in North Carolina & have season tickets). Kentucky does match-up on the baseline, but here's the problem no one is discussing: Kentucky's weakness is Point Guard. I'm not talking bad...I'm talking awful. Porter the starter had 5 turnovers in 6 minutes versus VMI. The only backup is a Freshman who was signed because Billy G whiffed on other prospects...and he isn't D1 material.

Also Meeks (who is the only legit perimeter scorer) disappeared at the end the VMI game & was noticeably limping. He's recovering from hernia surgery, so this is a massive concern.

UNC's transition style plus pressure on the ball = a very probable blowout. I rarely bet against my Cats, but tonight's the night. I hope I lose...but I caution everyone on overloading this play.

There is always upsets looming. Lakers where 9 point favorites against Detroit lost recently. NY Giants where heavy underdogs in Super Bowl. App State where heavy Underdogs against Michigan. Piston where heavy Underdogs against Lakers in Finals in 2004. This is only a few memories.

I'm not dogging the Kid because Liggins will be a force for UK. But it won't be as a pure Point. He's a combo guard. Just watch tonight & see if you change your mind. By the way, against VMI DeAndre played 27 minutes and had 7 rebounds...but he had 7 turnovers too. And at no time did he run Point & initiate a pattern. Not once. It was garbage ball when he had the helm.

So wait.... UNC running 4 "guards" + Ed Davis is a better matchup for Kentucky? Give 2Pat 30 and 10 because nobody can bang with him down low, true. But what else does Kentucky have?

Not saying UNC will cover the # as 55-60% of the public is still on them. But UNC is capable or running as much and runs about 80% as much as VMI does. If they can get the tempo up, 2Pat will not be a factor in this one either.

I wish I would have been on this site last night. I feel sorry for anyone who actually thought UNC was going to get upset by this piece of garbage they call Kentucky. Did the VMI embarrassment not let you in on how this one was going to go? UNC is by far the best team in the nation and they will show that as the year goes on. They are the best team now and will only get better and better. By the end it will be scarey how bad this team will demolish other pretenders like Kentucky.

Kentucky make half as many and they cover ... simple.
If Kentucky are sooo bad (which they are), it doesn't say alot for UNC as UK were competitive for the final 25-30.
