For a point, you gotta role with the Kobe 6's.
Aren't too many other ones out there that can even rival that for the guard position.
If you want more ankle support, KD 2'd, CB3's, LBJ8's, a nice foamposite, or a hyper dunk.
It really does depend on style. For my money, at the guard spot - it's Kobe 6 or nothing.
Although, if you don't mind going with Reebok, I would check out allen Iverson's shoe. Forget what it is called right now.
My favorite balling shoe is one of 3. A pair of Penny's original "royal" foams that came out in '97, or the retro version that was recently released. The Kobe 6's. And finally the Tim Hardaway Shoes Air Balkin's (in grey).
Those three are the only three shoes I have balled in, in years. They hold up really well.
If you get a pair of the foams, make sure to break them in really well, as the foam is really stiff at first. After a while, it literally molds to your foot for perfect comfort/support.

In my opinion, It all depends on what suits you and which surface you are playing on.
I like the Foamposites, Pennie 2s like Chi mentioned, few Jordans(hardly any new ones)
P.S, finally a topic I have a little knowledge of as my screen name might suggest lol

The fly wade 2 evs.
they are the best shoe out there imo for grip. good for a pg because of the durability and ability to explode to the rim or stop on a dime

you don't need good shoes to ball on outdoor courts. just grab a pair of $40 Nike's off the clearance rack.

I think so. I hate the "Kobe system". And there is no question in my opinion that they look better.

I begged and begged and begged to get these shoes. Finally got them the following year for christmas, and I swore I could jump higher by pressing the basketball on the tongue. Reebok owned back then. Still the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned was a $50 pair of green and black Reeboks.
