seems to be a bit of a project still, alot of NBA teams have crashed with guys like that too early in the draft lately. He still has time to develop though I guess

yeah I hope they can come in under the Radar, got a big time big man recruit Steve Adams and some little known guys with alot of talent. I trust Jamie Dixon's ability to get the most out of his guys

lkidd you have been at this tooo long you know better. yes they do have tons of talent but in a one and done format like the tournament they can lose. they will be a top 10 team all year long but they will probably have 2 losses. so much crazy shit happens in the tourney i would wait till feb to make a prediction.

Louisville and Cuse are the class of the big east again this year. Dajuan Coleman is going to play like a beast from opening tip on sunday (unlike ugly ass fab melo) and probably will swat Siva across the Yum center when he tries to take it to the hoop on him.

Louisiville should be good this year. Should be a great year in the big east. I'm sad Cuse is leaving for the ACC which is not as competitive in my oppinion.

I can't say from the overall W-L perspective, but I know from a betting perspective I am looking to bet against Louisville this year. I think they are a bit overrated. I don't trust Siva (who is absurdly overrated), I think they lost some key pieces, and I think that people forget that before they got hot at the end of the season they were a pretty mediocre team in the Big East last year. They were No. 7 in the league and their most impressive league win was at West Virginia.

Now, they are still a very good team. But I think they are overrated and overvalued. I don't think they are the No. 2 team in the nation. And I don't like to trust a team that really can't shoot to cover the big, heavy double-digit favorite spreads they will be shackled with this year.

One caveat: I haven't seen the freshmen yet. I am usually a big believer that freshmen are way overrated. But they could have a guy or two that fits in really well and takes them up a notch.

I think they were undervalued last year, because people were unaware of how injuries were adversely affecting the team during the first half of the year. Not too mention how Pitino's teams historally improve throughout the year and his record as the season progresses(he crushes it in Feb). Once Siva's ankle healed last season they were a completely different team, he was playing injured early in the year.

Blackshear was injured and missed most of last year and considering his recruitment hype, he is expected to contribute much more this year. Behanan also became a much more consistent reliable frontcourt presence as the season progressed, solid double double guy all season this year as he was getting more significant time in Pitino's rotations down the stretch.

Although there is alot of reasons to be optimistic, I agree with Ferringo that the team with be overvalued this year. Last year was different because they started the season around 4th and fell off the map due to injuries and the time it took for Pitino to find his rotations.

Once they fell out of the top 25 and the their injured players recovered, many of whom were playing through injuries, they were well undervalued. This year they start overvalued, but like alot of team's their valuation will vary throughout the year and depend alot on how they mature and how their recruits integrate and adjust to NCAAB.

I posted a few times last year when Siva's ankle healed and the rotations were becoming solidified, they were undervalued, out of the top 25 but playing more like the top 5 team they had been rated preseason. Siva, the team leader, is limited offensively and no more than a very solid NCAAB player.

I no it was only an exhibition game but they put on a crapshoot against bellarmine it was awful how bad lousiville looked. I was not impressed at all. All I did was look up who they opened up the regular season against to see of I could fade ville

Pitino is an incredible coach. Generally his teams do start slow and close strong as he develops the talent. It also takes time for him to figure out his player rotations and substitutions.

hard to believe the differences between UL's first and second exhibition games. You have to think that no team is going to shoot below 35% from the field as a team though. I like this team, BUT there is no backup center unless Harrell moves over and there isn't a true backup PG on this team. Even so, with decent shooting, I think Louisville is a top 5 team and a definite Final Four team (not knowing matchups)
