Watched every Northwestern game this year. Living in the state of Illinois I have also taken an interest in the Illini.

I agree with you. I will be playing Northwestern. Perhaps I don't see it as the game of the year like you do but I will be playing Northwestern.

Illinois has shown themselves to be a gutless team all year long. They have constantly underperfomed all year long and I see no reason for that to change on Saturday. Even if they win and become bowl eligible there the Motor City Bowl is not a lock for them with Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin all being ahead of Illinois.

I think Illinois realizes mid-way through the second quarter in this game that their season is over and lays down. This Illinois team is one of the biggest groups of underachievers I have seen in a long time.

Not sure how u see this as the game of the year, there is no way I would get carried away with your money here. Living in Champiagn you should know more about this Illini team they should be much better than they are and I think northwestern could pay for that this weekend. Only good win nw has is at Iowa which is a very good one but they almost lost to Ind and only beat mich by 7 two teams Illinois just destroyed. Also ohio st smashed nw and at least Illinois made it a game. Illinois has a powerful offense at times if they show up which they have at times they will crush nw. I am prob not betting either way but just giving my input I see it as a no play, not seeing game of the year here guy there is much better games to bet.

When I say kafka is better than bacher , i mean that he accounts for their rushing game when sutton doesnt play. Bacher does not. They can't run.

Sure they are 8-3 and it is fine to give them credit for winning games when they are outplayed but when doing so you also have to figure out they have gotten fortunate.

michigan had more yards and more first downs in their defeat vs nw
minnesota had more yards and more first downs in their defeat vs nw
purdue had more yards and equal first downs in their defeat vs nw
iowa had more yards and more first downs in their defeat vs nw
duke had more yards and more first downs in their defeat vs nw

In other words , NW has gotten very fortunate with timely turnovers and could or should easily be 3-8 and not 8-3. Like I said , it is ok to give them credit for finding a way to win but fundamentally they are not an 8-3 big ten team , take away the deceiving final scores.

Basically you have two teams , who run similar systems. The problem for NW is that the illini players are bigger , stronger , faster , more highly touted recruits and athletes.

I watched your video , and won't pretend to know better than your local information about illinios being flatter than a pancake and not caring about this game but it certainly appears on paper in a normal situation to be a motivational edge spot for Illinois.

When looking at last years game this same illinois team racked up 32 first downs and 541 yards of offense on northwestern. Has that much changed year over year ? Maybe with loss of mendenhall and the quality offensive linemen but not enough to make me want to touch nw here with a ten foot pole.

Well, the main difference between this years NW team and last years is defense. Their D line is playing really well and I believe they either lead the Big 10 in sacks, or are right up there. Both QBs have shown they can win. And as for the yards/first down stats all that proves is their D isn't allowing scoring in the red zone-a mark of a good team. Sure they've gotten the turnovers when they've needed them. Good teams find a way to win. And, Illinois is not good. And especailly bad on the road. GL if you play Illinois.

However I thought the same thing as you when I looked at this game Brock, and the fact is, I just dont think Northwestern has enough offense to keep up. Not that you shouldnt make it a play. But maybe reduce the units a bit.

I am so scared now this is all the money I have. I think I will be taking a sleeping pill during the game so that I do not have to sweat every play out. I will wake up and very slowly get the score on my computer. Sports betting is so sick I am trusting all my money on someone else. If I lose I go into hiding maybe 3-6 months. If I win I wait for your next lock release to put it all on that. We can't ever win.
