He said it but he was talking about stat geeks who would be happy because they were talking about that there had never been an 11-10 score in NFL history.

Yeah it was the play by play announcer "Jim Nanz"... He did say that JUST as they were breaking away and I agree I think he was talking about the line...
If that is not a MAFIA call then refs. are all honest...

He did say it, but that was 5 minutes after they mentioned that no NFL game in history has ever ended 11-10

Those guys are aware of the line and often mention the importance of a score that would put it over the line with similar language. I heard the comment in this case, but it wasn't clear whether it was the 11-10 thing or the point spread. I don't think "a lot of people" care about the first 11-10 score ever, so I think he probably was talking about the points.

on Football Night in America, they talked about the line being "3.5" then Chris Collinsworth tried to change the subject.

If you listen closely, you may catch Al Michaels dropping little tid-bits about lines and people's "happiness" during or at the end of a broadcast. The lines are being mentioned more and more.

Costas said something along the lines of "People would care about the score for other reasons" or a similar remark, with a nude-nudge wink-wink look.....
And then the other guy sitting with him had this nervous gay-ass smile on his face, which seemed to screaming "Quick, cut to commercial B*tch!!"

I don't think anyone cares about the 1st 11-10 game. They were talking about the spread.
