although the taxes part sucks, but she could get around that pretty easily and write many losses off....

And this was on a parlay card, not some over the counter off the board bet.

I imagine the odds of hitting this was higher than the payout, but I have not calculated it out

it should've taken you more time to type that you haven't calculated it out, than to actually calculate it out.

32,767 to 1 is the true odds of hitting

so she actually didn't get screwed too badly, a lot of shops have those huge parlays at MUCH lower payouts

Most books wont let you parlay more than 8 picks off the board. Most parlay cards let you parlay up to 12 or more though.

She could probably collect enough losing sports and horse tickets throughout race and sportsbooks in vegas before January 1 to offset the win. Thats what I would be doing anyway....
