what makes you say football is biggest in the south??? try going to buffalo, pittsburgh, cleveland, chicago and seeing how passionate people in the northeast, midwest are about football...

ohio and pa in particular are hot beds of football, if you wanna talk about the south, then maybe texas falls more into that category
