Might be on to something, Cutler is the wild card.

Agree, however, if Cutler is playing to full potential they could be the team to beat.

if cutler stays healthy...they make the playoffs. not even worth looking into imo until hes not the starter. as much a i think cutler is a douchebag, the guy can win games.

Houston @SF
Minnesota
Seattle @Minnesota Green Bay
@Arizona @Detroit
They can easily go 3-5 with Cutler playing...
If the go 2-6 they finish 9-7...
9-7 teams miss playoffs all the time...
Not saying it will happen, but could...

You think if it came down to the final game of the season the Bears would lose to the Lions?

The bears MIGHT lose 2 of those games. They will split the next two, then lose one more game somewhere, Chicago will not have to play a first round playoff game, and the road to the super bowl may very likely go through Chicago.

they need 4 more wins. i think only 1 team in the history of modern football has missed the playoffs at 11-5.

If they are going to miss the playoffs the big games would be against the Seahawks, vikings, and Lions. Those precious tiebreakers.

i'll take that bet if you ship the 100 points. you get bears to have a first round bye 100 points to win 100.

If the bears win this week, and if the Bears beat SF they get it pretty easy, if SF wins then this will be interesting down the stretch.

Bears are a great team and have all 3 phases covered. Only cause for concern at times is that o-line. My best teams from each conference are Houston and Sf. And everyone should know by now when it matters in Jan you can NEVER count out Giants, Steelers, Pats. The Bears, Falcons, Packers, Broncos teamws like that are in that 3rd tier for me.

I can't wait to drill this team again, Packer's defense > Cutler and Bears offense.

Lions will win that final game of the season because it'll most likely mean they make the playoffs if they win that game. Bears won't win that game in DET. Did you not watch the last game in Chicago? DET dominated that game. If they play the same game again in DET in a dome:
Lions 27
Bears 14-17
and you know it. just look at the stats.

They barely scored last game, now they are getting three touchdowns?

They'll probably get there, but the Bears are getting 12-14 wins so it won't matter.

Worth a shot. Is the defense scoring points week after week really sustainable? The offensive line any good?

That's the 1 worry that I have as mentioned .. the o-line! When facing a team with 1 or more elite pass rushers or who like to blitz Cutler could have a long day. Defense wins in January though and the Bears def have that covered! Balty won a S.B. with ZERO offense
