What makes you guys think the Senate would put a Democrat in that spot?

if the GOP when's the Senate, they put in a Republican
if the Democrats hold the Senate, my thinking is they would put in a Republican so if the administration fails they can fully blame 1 party.

I do not believe that the Constitution mandates a separate party, just a separate vote
