Mikey: The distinction lies in the generalization. We don't know if this one woman had it coming or not, but denegrating an entire group of people because they don't act like you is bigotry. I never advocated hitting women in general, but neither did I presume to know all the particulars of Uncle Richie's singular situation.

Interesting point MF. I think personal integrity depends how and where you've been bought up and by whom. I think it's entirely possible for people to beleive they have integrity, even if it's blindingly obvious to others they don't. If you factor in some peer pressure, one mans wrong is another mans right.

However, I think Muslim suicide bombers are a perfect example of how a role model can mould a childs brain at a very early age to beleive anything regarding right and wrong. The fact a 12-year-old would beleive he was doing a good thing by blowing himself up in an attmpt to kill others is a perfect example. He was simply carrying out an instruction he'd been bought up to beleive was 'normal,' much in the same way as someone who's watched their Father beat their Mother then grows up to beat on their wife.

I find that hard to believe. Uncle Richie is one poster whose contributions I always take the time to read. His video addressing Pags being all whiny about his thread was what started me posting after a year of lurking. Excellent material, and if anyone ever compiled a "Best Of SBR" DVD I have no doubt that Uncle Richie would be featured prominently.
