Texas looked good beating up on a Kansas team that has fallen off the map.

Is the margin enough to change anything?

i don't think they can beat out the winner of the Tech/OU game, they still need a Missouri title game win

I think you're right or a Bama loss.

Something like a 63-0 score on the road might have got them a stray AP vote and a nudge in the coaches poll. They got another chance against hapless A&M.

I can see Bama losing that game John. Miss St. has had some pretty good success against them during the Croom years.

If Bama loses it is to Florida, Florida could lose to Florida St., but I don't think Texas beats out 1 loss Florida either

If Tech betas Okl they should automatically be in BCS game because of tough schedule

Thats the problem. But lets not forget Bama still has to play Auburn.

But you're right again I'm painfully afraid. Unless its a skinny one point win or something then its possible that both Oklahoma AND Florida could jump frog the #3 team that lost to the #2 team on the road with a last second pass. And jumped over by a team they beat by 10 no less assuming Oklahoma makes it. I won't whine but its a tough break for the Horns if Oklahoma plays Florida for the national championship.

Florida is guaranteed a place in BCS championship. They won't lose another game. The other team would be the greatest debate in college history if Oklahoma beats Tech. Texas has a case if Okahoma beats Tech because they only lost to Tech on the last play of the game.

I think you should actually root for Tech next week because Missouri will have an easier time beating them than OU

they are GUARANTEED a place??? This team lost at home to Mississippi. So beating Bama will be tough....not to mention that how is a home loss to mississippi better than a road loss to texas tech (for texas) or a neutral field loss to texas (Oklahoma)??? Especially considering the Big12 is much better than the SEC this year

What I'm saying is that if Alabama is undefeated (which will be, they are not losing to Auburn) and Florida has only one loss (which will be, they are not losing to FSU home) then if they beat an undefeated team in Alabama at the SEC championship they are in. If Alabama beats Florida then they are in BCS because they will be undefeated and #1 seed in the country.

SEC has one of the two teams in BCS with either an Alabama undefeated team or a Florida one loss team. By virtue of beating the #1 seed in the country at SEC championship game (Alabama will be #1 then) they will move up ahead of any other 1 loss team (Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Penn St etc).

yeah i agree with you in that situation....I thought you were saying florida is guaranteed to beat bama...

Although I still think Florida's loss is WAY worse than Oklahoma or Texas

Going to have to think about that one. On the surface I'd say both the Big 12 and the SEC are locks assuming they beat the cream puffs they have left.

I will say Florida is a much better team than they were when they fell asleep against Old Miss. I'd say a Florida vs Oklahoma match up would be about a Pick'em. Both Florida and Oklahoma would likely be skinny favorites over Texas and Texas Tech on a neutral field.

It really sucks that Texas or Oklahoma lost earlier in the season. If Alabama stays undefeated and they meet Florida in SEC championship how do you eliminate the winner of that game from BCS championship game?

the loser will be eliminated....not fair but it'll happen...just the way this stupid system works.

apparantly losses early in the year arent as bad as losses late in the year.
