I think Ed wants to be more of a provider that services other books more than they want to be a major sportsbook player. The group is trying to follow the Bodog model getting everything set up in house. I can understand $500 max since they don't have much volume yet.

Players can feel good that the amount of player balances and Ed's wagering exposure is a small fraction of what the book has invested in their physical operation.

Ed is going to serve the small weekend bettor best. One thing I do like is that players know what they are getting going in. They don't try to have their cake and eat it.
