I understand it seems that way when stuff hits the forum.. But the reality is 5Dimes as a standard credits players the fees when a payout goes wrong so that the replacement is free of charge, this wasn't a special favor due to Jim posting a storm. Prior to him reaching out, they were already working with him to get the faxed copy & proceed w/ crediting him.
On why the checks bounce in the first place, it unfortunately is an issue that plagues US-serving books from time to time. It doesn't mean that the book doesn't have the funds, the third-party processor is ultimately the one responsible for the bad batch. It happens every once in a while and it's why a lot of players in the US nowadays prefer other methods.Comment -

Then you had another forum get involved. They put the money back in your account and told you to request the payout again. Maybe the player isn't keen on another, and wants a different method after the hiccup. Maybe he wants a larger amount taken amount, maybe he wants to leave some in, x25 other scenarios.
Pretty standard, you get the money back, you get the fees credited for the inconvenience, and can choose to immediately have another payout sent through that or another method, and can also request a higher payout as you'll also have the fees added.Comment -

What am I missing here...the book expects the player to come back, begging for their funds after a. Bouncing a check and B. Telling said player to piss off basically, that they don't want his business.
So now the GM of the book is to busy to deal with complaints by actually picking up a phone, making a call or dropping an email to apologize.
Sad state of affairs, SBR showed how much clout they have, telling Jim to crawl back on his knees to Tony.

If that is indeed the case then IMO that is pretty childish of Tony. I understand Jim has been running around making multiple threads and just overall making a big stink of this situation but Tony is running a business and his business relies heavily on reputation. This is just my personal opinion but I would never want to do business with an individual who stoops down to the level of some disgruntled customer. It's my understanding that 5Dimes has been around for a long time and with fairly good reputation so I don't see why Tony would put that at stake simply to "get even" with someone.
