Curious who these 3+ teams are, Giants have played 8 games, two against the Cowboys.

Or maybe the juggernaut Eagles that the Steelers already beat.

Ok so that's two. I don't disagree with those two but the rest they have played, I don't see it.

Giants have beaten good defensive teams, but have the steelers really beaten any good offensive teams? i think the giants are going to have even more incentive to win this game because Sandy. Just watching knicks v heat game, how the knicks had some kind of crazy inspiration and there was just no way they were going to get beat that day. I can see the same thing happening with the giants. Giants ML GL.

You guys are insane comparing a Knicks game to an NFL game and somehow a hurricane is going to determine the outcome of a NFL game. It really will have zero impact once the game starts. Giants may win, but it won't be because of "Sandy".

I don't think much of this. What is more important in my opinion is that Giants really want this win badly for the victims for Sandy. I really believe the Giants will give it their all and not lay an egg as they do sometimes when they are ahead.

You really think Giants player care about any of that?

You think the average NFL player has this on their mind when they play?

Stillers or nothing. Giants players lives have been hell having to deal with wife and kids while there are lines for gas. and the notion that Giants will be playing their asses off for storm victims is a riot. not saying that they don't care, but i really don't think that it factors into their play (other than perhaps reduced focus because their lives have been so fkd up for last few days).

My angle on this game is although the Steelers seem like the headline with their travel plans...the new york giants just had their home devastated. This isnt like the knicks game where they were just trying to beat the evil miami to rally the people of New York. The Giants have not been practicing as much as they should have all week because of what has happened. They have been worrying about their families getting stuck in 5 hour traffic just trying to drive out to the stadium. They are more worried about what has happened to their families than some stupid game that they know they will get into playoffs anyway and have to play there. Aaaand lets not forget, Eli has just looked awful in his last 2 games just really really bad. I have Steelers +3.5

I would imagine travel factors are factored into the opening number.
