DirecTV, if for no other reason than infrastructure. DirecTV has 14 satellites blanketing North America, with spot beam coverage for locals (each satellite has a few highly directional antennas to carry locals for the most direct area) as opposed to 9 "birds" for Dish/Echostar. Dish doesn't have as much spot coverage, meaning two satellite dishes if you want local channels in some areas.

Although, thinking of your wagering Uncle Richie, you may entertain Dish Network because of the horse racing coverage. Dish carries HRTV from Magna Entertainment Corp., and they are the kings of winter horse racing. Dish Network also has a few extra movie channels. There is always a give and take in capitalist economy, companies find their niche, and in doing so, their clientele.

I'd be happy to answer any more questions if you have them. As always, thanks for the videos and the good picks.
