Harden looked fabulous. I was concerned about the minutes played also. The lineup for the Rockets has been totally revamped so they are going to probably ride Harden for a little while until the unit has more time together.

I am curious to see how it pans out. Mchale isnt a bad coach. Look what he did with a talent less rockets last year...they almost made playoffs if not for that season ending losing streak. They have a back court, youth, they may just surprise you

"revamped" usually implies "change in a positive way".
That lineup was decimated, and besides that backcourt - and Lin is still a huge question, that team is terrible. Harden can average 48.1 minutes per game, and still not be able to keep this team out of the lottery.

Harden has talent and now he has a chance to lead a team and it looks like he's up for the challenge.

Well 80 million seems big but compare it to other NBA organizations...
Michael Redd in Milwaukee
Eric Gordon in New Orleans...
Harden hasn't been injury prone... Rockets want to sell tickets. Harden is worth more than Lin...That's fact.Fact.facT

True, but tonight 45 points in 19 FG....gotta take notice of that. 63.9% for the season
Like i said, its still early, but the coaches are solid and 2 road wins to start the season is not a bad thing. Im sure teams will adjust, but you gotta question what hardens true potential is now that he is a No 1 option instead of coming off bench. He may just be better than we thought. Time will tell

I believe this to be true.
OKC figured not quite the right fit, and if they signed all 3 to max, big cap problems.
Now we wait and see what they do with the picks.
Someone please explain why Houston had to go 80 mil.First reports were same years for 60 mil.

The Houston Rockets are 6 years, 2 players, and a snowballs chance in hell away from being able to compete with OKC.

OKC has been fortunate with the salary situation for several years. That will be changing as current contracts expire.

Westbrook, Durant, and Ibaka all signed thru next four years.
They just need to amnesty Perkins, and then they could afford Kevin Martin.

^^^^^ Yea, you are correct. I got info from Yahoo Sports. Just saw Spotrac.com which confirms what you are saying.
