Why are lakers favoured against portland today?

Portland should win here...lakers will take another 5-6 games to get their new offense together. Bunch of old guys playing B2B game. Portland will be pumped to face lakers in the opening game. Portland +125 is definitely the play. I will be fading lakers until they get their offense together.

I feel like this is going to be a Lakers team that is going to be hard to predict how they are going to play throughout the season. Maybe I'm wrong but they obviously have the talent to blow teams out, but they also have that factor where they are inexperienced together. I can see them hitting on all cylinders every other game and then not showing up the next one.

I never bet on the lakers, yesterday I did something I never did before and bet on Lakers and lost BIG. never again. I should have known better. Lakers looked like crap, I doubt Howards Free throw shooting is going to improve overnight and I dount the Lakers are all of a sudden going to have more energy. Blazers looked great in pre-season, wouldnt be suprised if the Lake Show is a No Show (koby will probably show up, everyone else will get tired around half-time).

i would tend to agree to fade the Lakers for the first few games but it's Portland and Bryant loves playing in Port and if you think about it the only reason LA lost yesterday was because of FT shooting otherwise the they would have won. Portland is gonna be one of the worst teams in the Western Conference this year.
