Agreed, I thought there was value in the +17 line as well. Their QB plays shakey on the road, but is a 3 yr starter with 13 TD and only 2 INT and a near 70% comp. He has very solid skill players around him, several of whom are highly regarded NFL prospects RB Graham and WR Street.

With ND's murderous schedule a letdown is possible especially after that huge Oklahoma win. If Sunseri is throwing well they should put up some decent offensive #'s. Hard to trust Pitt's D, but ND is averaging 28-29 pts a game and at times have sputtered.

Pitt is starting Joe Trebitz (his 1st career start) at MLB. The Irish will probably run all over Pitt, considering The Irish have 1,011 yards rushing in last 4 games. If ND does not turn the ball over this could be a blowout, Pitt is 1-4 this year when not forcing more then 1 turnover. Pitt also is ranked 90th in sacks allowed TY with 20. After only giving up 15 yards net rushing at Okla. don't think Ray Graham and company will have any luck running the ball. I'll stay off this game, but wish you all luck on your wagers.

Pitts Dominance was during the Charlie Weiss era. I dont see Pitt winning this game straight-up but 17 may have some value
Definite letdown position but can't see Pitt scoring a ton here and thier Defense is mediocre, not nearly as good as BYU

The problem with this is that Pitt's strength on offense in the running game and on offense it's there pass defense.

Notre Dame's strength is stopping the run and running the ball.

It's just a terrible match-up for Pitt.

Pitt + the points is a good play, Like shortstop said they always play ND close, public perception couldn't be any higher on N.D right now and 17 is alot of points in that rivalry game. Granted I am Pitt fan and unlike you shortstop a WVU hater, lol, I live dead center between the 2 distance wise. my opinion is probably bias but nonetheless GO PITT !

This team is fairly balanced offensively, and should be more imposing offensively than almost any team ND has faced. ND is a solid D unit and Pitts D is unimpressive. I still take my chances with 17 pts and a team who can score, even a trash TD late for a backdoor cover is OK by me.

This is a huge game for Pitt, for ND....not soo much.

I know if that line gets to 17.5 and i need to close a 7 point teaser( my book gives me 7 pts at only -120, and a push isnt a loss), I'm sure as hell takin pitt +24.5, that +600 could also be a sneaky bet, back to back road games for N.D. I could def see Pitt's offense scoring enough to cover, hopefully even pull off the upset. i would love to see the look on Lou Holtz's face afterwards

If he sux and only has a couple of decent games a year, he has already used up his quota. He already has three 300 yd games without throwing an interception and 3 tds in 2 of those games.

ND blows up much better teams than Pittsburgh. I'm not taking a side on this one, but I'd be reluctant to lay my money on Pitt. If a team has next to no chance at winning outright as a dog, I don't like them often even with 10-20 points. You're basically betting on them losing but somehow losing but only two TDs instead of 3. I don't like that route. ND could win this 34-10.

pitt + 17 is a solid play. Yesterday in the pep rally a player said he doesnt care what anyone says nd is back (total Jinx). Tweets last night at 1 in the morning from players watching batman. Pitt with nothing to lose Nd with everything. Games at home have been extremely close this year.
