    Really easy. Just two questions:

    1. Does your girlfriend or wife know that you bet on sports?
    2. Does she care?

    Should be an interesting thread...

    1. Yeah

    2. She's a little bit indifferent...she knows i like it and she knows i do relatively well in it so she doesn't mind but she just doesn't understand how I can spend an entire weekend watching football. Whatever I guess!

You do not need to watch sports to make your bets win. I could never understand why guys think they have to watch the games as it does nothing to outcome of your bet.

Most marriages are lsoed because of this behavior

Sports betting and any other form of gambling is not accepted by 95% of women

My wife knows I gamble. She is an understanding woman most of the time. When I do it and I'm supposed to be watching kids, then she gets a tad bit angry with me. I would say she probably has four or five legs to stand on on that one. When that happens, I lose most of the time.

I do have some data on who wins our "Argument Matches". I am currently 0 and 20 in our last 20. With data like that, you'd think that -2000 would be a steal. Hell, even the KC Royals have a better winning percentage.

            1. Yes

            2. Not really because she knows I do good at it.

And just bc I have money on game dont mean I have to watch it. Ill just check the scores at the end of the night especially when foots and hoops and this year hockey will all be going on.

My girlfriend doesn't care one bit. She loves to gamble as much as I do.

My wife knows I Gamble yes.
Yes she cares she hates it
I have to watch the games I bet on, Im a Big Pussy. I wish I could be detached from the action like some of you guys.
I cant have money on a game and calmly check the scores b-4 I hit the hay.
Gambling makes me sick when I lose and euphoric when I win.
I wish I could be like JJGOLD and go out with 300.00 riding on a game and actually care what my wife is saying accross the table to me at a nice romantic dinner but I cant. GOD I HATE THIS!!!!

Wife knows I gamble, but she knew what she was getting into when she married me. She doesn't care that I gamble, but told me she doesn't want me to go on a losing streak and end up living in a trailer court someday.

My girlfriend doesn't just know I gamble she gambles with me. We take turns watching our 7th month daughter while we make wagers. This is funny, she is $9,000 ahead of me with DSI.

I suppose I should answer my own questions!

                            1. Yes.

                            2. Yes and no. She likes the mathematics part of it and she likes the challenge, but she doesn't like the financial aspect. She sets limits and rules for me to follow and I actually think I'm a better sports bettor because of it. With her being an objective outsider, she keeps me on my gameplan at all times. Because of her help, I don't make many mistakes and I rarely beat myself.

Just curious, what is your record against the spread in these 20 matches? Just seeing if I can find a reliable trend...

                                Senator,

Here's the reliable trend. Lay the chalk, as Mudcat says. I think sometimes us gamblers get a little too caught up into the various interworkings of a game or number. This one's a no-brainer: lay it and take it to the bank. Those guys that tell you: 'there are no free lunches in the world"......they're lying. This is a can't-miss deal.

But we can't pass up 18 to 1 money no matter how bad the underdog is. Someday when you are not watching the kids and watching football, one of those kids will find an ear ring she lost in the couch a couple of months ago and BAM 18 to 1 winner pays - get in line to collect the winnings.

She doesn't care that I bet - she does wish I would spend more time with her though instead of capping the games every day.
