This is some pussy ass shit.
I'm glad the east coast has something to bind us together in worry. However, the media or anyone deeming this the as devestation, apocolypse, etc. is insulting. As the death toll climbs above 30 let's just remember that 1/4 of a MILLION people perished in the Tsunami of 2004.
Get over it. White people problems.

A devastation is a devastation regardless of the numbers, idiot!
If this hit your home, and killed members of your family, I'd sure you'd be singing a different tune. Give your friggin a head a shake!

and it's hardly a media frenzy, they have actually down played how bad it was until these aerial shots from the choppers are starting to come out.

so what is the next step to fix all this? just wait until the water flows back into the ocean?
won't the insurance cover everyones house to buy them a new one?

no that is the worst part about all of this. considering this never happens on the east coast. most of these insurances do not cover this, especially in LBI and Seaside parts.

Brutal, feel for these people. It's nice to pray for them, but with something like this, economy will be hurtin' bad. Give a few bucks if you can to the relief fund. Gave $10 yesterday to US Mission. Doesn't seem like much, but if it comes from everybody it starts to add up and honestly every bit helps.

this happens on the east coast more than any other coast in the USA. Florida gets wrecked all the time by these storms.

probably not, but both redcross and united way (which are the 2 biggest ones) have been accused of mishandeling money in the past.

I hear you, but red cross is a pretty well respected charity with a good track record. But for whoever does want to donate anywhere make sure it's not shady, I've seen stuff pop up after haiti earthquake and other things that were despicable and nowhere near legit. Scum settin up shop to scam during a crisis.

I'm sure the insurance companies are thrilled, got everyone on overtime crunching the numbers and lawyering up to payout the minimum.
