It'd be the same if a Cane hit the West Coast. Neither coast is prepped for this sort of thing and they don't build downtown buildings in NYC thinking about 85 mph winds. So of course it's going to be treated like a monumental event because a storm that might not fukk up the South as bad is going to crush parts of the Northeast that aren't ready. Rain is really the bugaboo from this storm and/or snow. If this had hit the Gulf Coast, it would have just been another weaker Hurricane with a shit ton of rain.
