NY Giants vs. the Chicago Bears on a Neutral Field....What is the Line and Who Wins?
Thank god that baseball WS series is over. It was a real snooze fest. Congrats to the SF Giants for their second World Series title in three years but really who cares outside those two cities?

It was so lack luster and the best part of it is that it is OVER.

Now we can concentrate on more fun and interesting sports....NCAA football, NFL and NBA in a few days.

That being said I was doing some NFL power rankings in my head and after watching some of these teams the two that strike me as being solid contenders for the NFC title crown not many are giving a chance outside of Atlanta, Green Bay and San Francisco are the Bears and the Giants.

However I think both teams can beat those other three teams on any given day easily. However if both the Bears and G-Men were to meet on a neutral field tomorrow and duke it out what would be the spread and who do you think wins?

I feel both teams are evenly matched and was curious if any of you guys agree.

I would cap it at Giants (-2) and probably see the Giants winning something like 27-23.

    Thoughts?

    Eli >Cutler
    NYG WR = CHI WR
    NYG O-Line > Bears O-Line
NYG D-Line = Bears D-Line (slight edge to NYG though)
NYG RB < CHI RB (Maybe equal)
    NYG LB < CHI LB
    NYG DB < CHI DB
    NYG Coach > CHI Coach

    Have it 3-3-2.

Teams are so streaky, you could play this game 10 times and I think you would get about 6 completely different outcomes. More often them not, I think the Giants would win. Probably closer to 21-13. Giants rise up or drop down to their openents level for some reason. That's why a lot if their games have been close. I think they would view the Bears as legit contenders and bring their A-Game.

I think Giants are a more complete team the Packers and 49ers. Still think Arlanta is the class of the NFC right now. Probably wont mean much in the playoffs though.

Giants got a real tough and interesting game next week v the Steelers that demands our attention and you're talking about Fairy Tale games. No offense, but Focus Up.

I agree with Colin Cowherd in that the Giants best game is better than everyone elses best game at this point. Front four would kill Cutler again.

30 -27 final huh? It could happen. I see it more along the line of 34-24 Giants or 31-20 Giants.

I guess it would all depend on which defense could force the most turn overs.

Well they won't meet on a neutral field, so it's purely academic. But it's certainly possible they'll meet in the playoffs.

Whats the point of asking about it on a neutral field when they play in the same conference?

I'm saying when and if they meet up it will be on someones home field so speculating on a neutral field seems pointless to me. Wouldn't you just ask what the line would be in Chi and NY?

I realize you are more than aware of this but neutral field speculation makes no sense to me for 2 teams in the same conference. Now if you said that ab a Manning bros Super Bowl then you have a valid question.

Home field is pretty much agreed upon to be roughly a 3 point swing vs a neutral field. I agree asking score is a bit strange as non of us have a freakin clue, but far worse stuff gets posted here often.
