Hell is on its way to Green Bay.
With the Jets now sitting at 7-3 and looking like they are on their way to the AFC playoffs, the Packer organization is in deep sh!t. The Jets look like a top 4 seed in the AFC playoff picture, while the Packers have lost 2 in a row and have the division leading Bears coming to town. If the Pakers lose that game, they drop to 4-6 and an almost certainty of missing the playoffs. Just wait til that sh!t sinks in, in cheeseville. They are going to be rioting in the streets if Farve takes this Jets team to the promise land. You thought the media coverage was bad before when all that trade sh!t was going around....just wait and see what happens if Favre can pull this off. I feel bad for the Packer organization because I think they made the right move...but the fans are gonna tear that place apart.

You do realize there are other positions than qb. Rodgers has played better than Favre this year.

Green Bay went from 11th in total defense to 22nd.

And 6th in scoring defense to 18th.

I definitely think there is more to the Packers demise than the loss of Favre, but it is part of the problem.

Maybe some of his stats are better or "cleaner", but the guy isn't as much of a leader and while he was conservative enough not to tank games for the most part, you better believe Brett Favre would have Green Bay sitting prettier than 4-5 in a division they should be dominating.

Those fans lived and died by this man for years. He was their Icon. The guy could throw 1 TD and 4 INT's in a game and they still worshipped the ground he walked on. You think they care if someone says "Hey the defense fell to 22nd and 18th"? They wouldn't give a fvck. They would see their hero taking another team to the next level while they have fell back to mediocrity...if not worse.

as a packer fan myself, I do realize that the defense is the problem. Rodgers has performed better than I thought he would. Favre on the other hand has the better recored but has thrown a lot of interceptions. To the average fan their going to be hating ted thompson and blaming him for everything if they don't make the playoffs. The NFC north is weak so even if the pack lose this week they still have a chance.

Is that the same Brett Favre who led his team to 12 total wins 2005 and 2006, and threw 46 combined picks in those years?

I see the pack winning this week but "if" they do lose I'm positive Thompson will be getting blamed. Its hard to tell if the pack would be better off with favre. I'd say right around the same record. Leadership hurts the team and also the connection he had with WR's. Donald driver doesn't seem the same without him there. Also packers last year lived by the big plays, grant was a beast and jennings was a deep threat all the time. this year you don't see any of that happening.

I was thinking more along the lines of High Plains Drifter. The man gets cast out, only to return and paint the town red and call it Hell. But yours will work too.

defense has damn near enough picks to make up for that though

really just a tough schedule, they were dogs in every loss, though small dogs in most, teams like Atlanta, Tampa, Tennessee way better than they were supposed to be.

Rodgers is a very good QB.
