#37One of the reasons the whole "we" thing is so annoying. If stupid homers had any clue what it took to play at this level, they wouldn't be including themselves as part of the team.Comment -

#38His career is done. Sad.
Remember hearing all the stories of him almost giving up from the last injury and emotions etc...just don't think he has it in him to do it again not to mention an NFL club taking a shot with him now...too many other quality backs out there.
Hope he hits the books to be able to make $50k or so soon, his millionaire dreams are over as of today.Comment -

#41He will still have good money, unless they say he can't walk again someone down the road will offer him a one year 2 mill contract just because.of his upside, and even if that doesn't happen SC will be loyal to him and get him a jobHis career is done. Sad.

#57man that looked bad. Not sure if you can come back from something like that. I think they are more worried about him not having a limp for the rest of his life. Any career in football id say is over.Comment -

#60Would have been a bit better if he had a Lloyds of London insurance policy on himself. A few promising college athletes has had one.
Looks highly doubtful he will ever play a down in the NFL or let alone walk straight again.Comment -

#64from Yahoo sports blog:
Marcus Lattimore could play football again.
That's the word from South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier, who told media Sunday that Lattimore suffered a dislocated knee and ligament damage against Tennessee on Saturday.
There were no broken bones.
And that's amazing news considering the injury was wildly gruesome and many feared the worst for the running back, who turns 21 Monday.
According to Spurrier, who visited Lattimore in the hospital Sunday, South Carolina team doctor Jeffrey Guy was able to pop the left knee back in place when Lattimore arrived at the hospital. Spurrier didn't want to go into specifics about the injury, but didn't rule out Lattimore returning to the field for the Gamecocks in the future. Lattimore, a junior, does have a redshirt season available.Comment
