Not the same as it used to be with grandparents etc. They have passed on and family is getting smaller. As a kid, it was joyous.

nothing beats xmas when you're a kid.. nothing.. 23 gifts under the tree, santa claus coming to see you.. it was freakin awesome.. not the same today, that's for sure. cartoons of frosty and rudolph the red nosed reindeer to watch... and lots of love and attention..

Depends where you are. In Texas, Christmas sucks. Its 80 degrees outside and people are still holding BBO's and kids swimming in pools. No jack frost nipping at your nose here. You can still get a sun tan in December. Thinking this Xmas, I might just go deep sea fishing. Weather here will be perfect.

Put a Xmas tree up here and it will wilt and die in 3 days from the heat. Very depressing. The thing hangs limp to one side from the weight of the ornament on top.

I have always been an Xmas fan. This year I am dreading it. Not looking forward to the whole "transition" phase of a breakup, and hoping that there will be a bar open that day to drink at. Sorry to unload, my mind is stuck in bad horse bets and thinking the "other girl" has a good guy friend she hangs out with a lot. Making me jealous. I better shut up.

I'm basically the youngest in my family, so I still get lots of gifts and money for Christmas and am not really obligated to spend a fortune on gifts

My favorite holiday just passed. I have Halloween as my #1. Followed by July 4th. Then probably Thanksgiving rounding out the top 3.

christmas is ONLY good if you are not alone.. happy, and have money and family or wife and gf and kids..

if you are alone, or broke or have no gf, like me the last 2 yrs, and then you hear xmas songs and all, it is the worse fukkin time and depression hits hard..

if you are happy xmas is great.. if not, forget it.. it's a nightmare.

Xmas, is the best time of year. There is a house in Livingston that everybody drives by to see there huge lighting display. Theres no doubt that they give Clark Griswold a run for his $.

jj, i hear you buddy, i really do.. 4 of my last 7 xmas's have been nothing but sadness for me.. lonely, no gifts under the tree.. i hear xmas songs in car or malls, i get so sad.. i switch off songs in car.. i love every song and i know word for word of each song..when you dont have a close family, or a person you love and you hear xmas, you cry.. every time i am like this, i only pray that xmas is over quickly, and then watching time square at new years might be even worse at midnight when no one calls you to wish happy new year and you see couples making out at midnights.. man, did that suck..but like you said, i used to always say, thank god i at least have my health.. and then when Jan 2nd rolls along, i am so freakin happy again that life is back to normal..

christmas is so sad jj when you are not happy or alone. i sometimes wish it never existed. it was great when we were kids or if we have a family and have 2 kids and a wife that love us... jj, i wish i got married when i was younger and had a family. instead, i will always be alone with no kids and a girl who hates my guts.. and a fukkin computer and gambling. thank god for my computer.. it's my best friend.. xmas for me will be a little better for me this year than the last 4 yrs, but it still wont be anywhere as good as when we were kids..

Yeh if you do the webcam vids on youtue they upload in 5 minutes or so, I made one 3 minutes ago and lets see how long it takes to put up here.
