What a friggin debacle New Jersey put on with shutting down casinos and race tracks because a state budget couldn't be reached.First of all, states like New Jersey have to resort to legalizing gambling so they can feed the insatiable welfare giveaway new deal-great society state they created.Rich people don't gamble percentage wise what poor people do so gambling just creates more need for social programs in those states.
Then you should have had some sensible deal where the racing and gaming commission should have been like air traffic controlers where by no means they could either be locked out or be out on strike. Here the state is coming to a budget impass because they are trying to stretch money out to pay for things ''all be it waste and pork barrel crap''and they lose about 10 million in revenue the few days gambling is shut down.Geesh, that 10 million bucks could have been given to some political crony union thug like Tony Soprano that wanted some socialistic state run industry economic development grant.
Do you think they really need some fat ass pear shaped loser that works for the state to show up at Monmouth Park race track just to watch over things in the first place? What do these people do?If there is any crookedness with payouts they would be in on the action anyway getting a kick back. This is New Jersey the place where their biggest claim to fame is that The Sapranos take place there and commie pinko Bruce Springsteen was born there.I'll bet all that these regulators do is sit by an air conditioner swilling down free cokes. Can you imagine the cronieism and nepotism and ass kissing it takes to get those jobs.
