Find me a losing player who doesn't watch games, ESPN and read the paper.

Nah, he meant losing. And he's probably spot-on. I don't doubt there are some who wager with stats and without emotion that lose, but I agree there probably aren't many.

Disagree. Plenty of people use stats but they use stats with little to no predictive value and even if they do use decent stats if they don't have a model it is very hard to quantify those stats and come up with fair value.

lets just say that there isn't nearly as many as the opposite dwaetche.

Yeah, but these are generally people who have an interest in sports and get a high from actually "gambling". Maybe I should've clarified more or maybe I misinterpreted what reno meant, but I think the sticking point was "without watching the games".

I'd probably classify myself as someone that attempts to use stats without a strong model where I have a tough time coming up with fair value, but I do it because I'm a gambler and I enjoy immensely being able to sit down and watch a football game with money on the line.

If there are people out there who do what I do and have no real concrete evidence that they have an edge, who don't get a high from gambling and just like burning money without receiving entertainment value, then I'd wonder what the hell they were thinking.

Dougie just do some google searches for online newspapers and you will have plenty of options.

When one doesn't know how to do something.. they just assume that means its not possible to do. Square thinking.
