The same thing happened to me at BetPhoenix. Except for me, the hacker placed ridiculous 3, 4, and 5 team parlays. I had disabled my casino account because I had already read on SBR that several people had been the victim of a "hacker" who had lost all of their money playing crazy stupid at blackjack (as in occasionally hit on 18).
I paniced and immediately made a thread about it. So don't say you know what you would do, because you don't.
It ended up with BetPhoenix stealing the $3K. I say "stealing" because:
1. there were other victims, who had been reimbursed. So they knew they had a problem on their end.
2. there was at least one other victim with the same mysterious affiliate (BP would never talk about this aspect again, I guess they mistakenly told SBR about it at one point)
3. Many of the parlays consisted entirely of games which hadn't even started, but they waited until AFTER all were losers to say "sorry, we can't reverse these bets". Yeah, really scummy.
SBR wasn't any help. BP was a real darling here at the time.
Brock, my advice:
1. talk about it in public as little as possible (I know, a little late). I think it pisses the book off if you reveal potentially damaging information like a rogue affiliate is profiting by intentionally losing money in customer accounts. Or that a book has security issues. Or that all of their employees know each customer's password (don't think Heritage is one of the many books that operate this way).
2. Make sure Lou is not assigned to the case. Try to get someone like Justin7.
3. Do your own digging.
Good luck. You'll need it.Comment -

SBR & Eric win again
I'm at work and admittingly get a little caught up into reading this crap.....but honestly I couldn't care less if it's true or not. If I weren't here, there's no way I'd read any of this crap....funny how so many in this thread are fired-up on if it's true or not. Who cares..
a couple things though:
a year ago Landers was begging for points to gamble with..
now he's betting hundreds to thousands a game..
apparently has all day every day to post from work?Comment -

Gee, that's funny... because that's exactly what I did. As soon as I saw my balance missing, I was really confused. Then I saw that all of my balance (except like $7) was pending. So I went to pending bets and saw all these ridiculous parlays. So I did go into live chat. They waited until all parlays were graded losers (which took several days, the idiot had bet on a whole slew of NCAA tourney games, some of which didn't start until 48 hours later). And then said the bets would stand.
So you are 100% wrong. Depends on the book. Richard at BP was a real scumbag. He lied throughout the whole ordeal. They claim he is gone now, but the pissed of employees who post here have said the whole "under new management" claim is a sham. Whatever, Heritage is obviously much better than BP.
I have now read the part where Brock said this was resolved. That's great. It really sucks when something like this happens to you. I'm glad it was resolved.Comment -

#161I for one believe Brock. Typically when there is employee theft from an account it involves someone either placing weird soccer bets when the player has years of betting history with not one soccer bet or it involves Poker. The only other thing possible is Brock has a lot of haters. Haters who truly suck at poker, but do they suck enough to lose 7k..
Let's round up the suspects.
Konck (Hates Brock, Claims to Faid. Mildy stinks at poker) - He would of bet some huge ML for comedy, not played poker.
TTWarrior: (Huge Hater. As in REALLY FAT. Really stinks at poker) - He would play high stakes trying to "prove" to himself he really is as good as he thinks he is. This would be his only chance to play with that kind of money.
The Giant: (Mild Hater. Good tourney player, horrible at ring games) Would be more likely to write a mildly insulting letter with ugly stationary to prove his point than to hack ol brocks account.
The Syndicate: (huge haters, suck at poker) Not smart enough to hack and are to busy Releasing all over each other.
..
So there we have it.. Your guilty Party is TTWarrior. Round up his fat ass. Just follow the cries for help from the Golden Corral staffs around his house.Comment -
