Just a thought....It seems the only time he was anything in his career was when he was drinking.

He has been playing well this year which makes me think....He might be drinking again.

    thoughts?

I think this is a fair question to ask.

This emoticon also feels fitting per the situation.

Speaking of drinking, one thing that always makes me scratch my head is how we condemn athletes for performance enhancing drugs and amphetamines but celebrate the fact that Yankees like Mantle, Berra and Martin could go out pounding drinks until 6:00am and be ready to play at 1:00pm.

I guess if you are seeing double, you have twice the chance of hitting your receiver.

Last time I checked, Steroids and amphetamines HELP ballplayers more than hinder. I doubt anybody sans David Wells will tell you alcohol helped them hit a ball, jump any higher, or run any faster.

Alcohol relaxes.. if you get hit, you roll with it and feel the effect less.. relaxed, you can take a bit more time to get your completion..

when i go to vegas, if i am plastered, i usually win thousands at the blackjack table.. sober.. i lose a few hundred.. too worried about the "what ifs"..

when i play pool.. i win lots when drunk.. sober and i am 50-50...

so alcohol does help (me?).. if anything, you are numb to the stress and therefore your body responds better..
