#4I put the hammer down on Det winning whoever they play a couple of days ago, -140 at 5Dimes. I am hoping the odds drop a little after this convincing SF win, wouldn't mind adding more to Det.Comment -

#11sf is a bunch of utility players and burnt out starters. cain is garbage and spent, zito we know, vogelsong will never do that again in his life, lincecum only hope but thats only 1 game.........verlander will pitch 25 innings this series if needed. and sf will struggle to score and hit

#14what r u laughing at????? The Yankees Lost the Series by Not hitting. Det Barely won it except for the last game. Det ill win 1 game at most on the road..... and remember theres 4 games in SF. SF pitchers can handle the bat for Bunts.... Whats Dets pitchers gonna do??????Originally posted by MeatWadAfter all this rest for Verlander and Scherzer in a 7 game series? I hope you are joking

#15The rest will help set their pitching rotation to maximize MS and JV. If those two continue to pitch as they have been pitching consistently for several months now....lights out.Originally posted by paranoyd androydnot sure all this rest will be beneficial. giants are red hot and the tigers are atrocious on the road.Comment -

#17Is not hitting related to great pitching? Seems like there is a correlation, I may be wrong. Noone has hit JV or MS the past few months consistently. Verlander throwing 100mph heat in the 8th inning of games has nothing to do with the Yankee's inability to hit?Originally posted by matt1216what r u laughing at????? #18true, but the tigers simply can not hit on the road. good luck trying to win games in sf by giving up only 1 or 2 runs max, that's what detroit will have to do.Originally posted by MeatWadThe rest will help set their pitching rotation to maximize MS and JV. Go back and Listen to the Last Game Verlander Pitched........ They were commenting on how bad Verander was pitching...... NY had 3-1 counts all night and the Yankees would swing at 1 pitch out of the Zone and pop it up. Dude if the Blue jays were hitting they would have won that game. You had to of seen that. Yes it was becase the yankees couldnt hit, the Yankees slumped against the Oriolesrookie staff and barely got by. SF is full of Grinders/veterans that will work AB's I will almost guarentee Det losses game 1 In fact i am certain.Comment -

I didn't realize the Tigers couldn't hit on the road, the stats would indicate that the are not as efficient on the road, but they are still a very productive hitting team on the road .342 obp at home vs 327 obp away.Comment -

#25I watch games to see current form, but I use a larger sample size of games to gauge how productive and efficient players are. Verlander and Scherzer have been as dominant as they come the past 2-3 months, I like the fact they will be well rested and ready to chew up some innings.Originally posted by matt1216Go back and Listen to the Last Game Verlander Pitched........ #26Just watch man, Det will be super rusty to start game 1. SF playing loose. Theres a reason why Verlanders Win/lose record wasnt outstanding. Det Is garbage on the road. Det may win game 2, but doubt that as well. Ive seen this many of times, a huge lay off will hurt Det early. If Det comes back to win the Series, well they earned it. I just dont see SF continuing to be down in these series.Originally posted by MeatWadI watch games to see current form, but I use a larger sample size of games to gauge how productive and efficient players are. #28Det faced a in experienced playoff team in Oak, and a slumping hitting team in NYY. You would be Nuts to fade SF in game 1. There in Must win mode. Det wont even show up game 1. with 5 days off they wont have that intensityOriginally posted by bleek88You think San Fran is going to disappear hitting in the World series..
