As soon as the Washington Redskins arrived home from a 27-23 loss at the New York Giants, coach Mike Shanahan phoned out-of-work tight end Chris Cooley to see whether he was fit enough to replace Robert Griffin III's top target, an injured Fred Davis.

He could still be a top 15 in a passing offense. I guess we'll see how he and RG3 jell.

yeah, it was surprising no one ever picked him up.

With Davis going down, they got Cooley immediately. It was reported yesterday on NBC.

            Should be the third te.

Niles and Paulsen are very capable.

Cooley can't block for shit he will let a de take rg3's head off.

He did most of his damage lining up in the backfield, if I remember correctly. Does Washington even play that style of offense anymore? I'll be honest, I haven't watched them for more than a half all year.

Maybe he can coach TE's or something. I don't think he will see much playing time.
