**almost EVERYTHING in life is a gamble
i'm so sick of my friends/family that don't play poker or gamble on sports saying stuff like "the house always wins" or "gambling is for suckers"

these clowns don't realize that everything you do involves a bet of some kind

buying life insurance? - betting on your death
not buying life insurance? - betting you'll outlive the tables or can put the money to better use
putting money into stocks/cds/etc? - betting on the direction of interest rates or the stock market
    buying a house/renting? - betting that one is a better long-term decision
gettting married/not? - betting one will make you happier than the other
ordering the chicken at applebee's? - betting that they won't undercook it or spit in it
    etc
    etc
    etc

Yes, I hope mortgage rates go up to 20% to teach some of them a good lesson in gambling.

                Everything is gambling.

To me though, when somebody asks, "Do you gamble?", what they're really asking is, "Do you play -EV games?". ie: the lottery, roulette, slots, etc.

Betting on sports for me is not -EV, therefore I don't consider it gambling in the traditional sense. As far as I'm concerned, with my knowledge of the sports world, NOT betting is the -EV option.

Gamble on sports? Nah our US Gov doesn't want us betting on sports. We can go out work hard everyday, earn a big paycheck, get tax the fukk out of before we even get our hands on our own money.....and even after all that, our own GOV still doesn't want us betting on sports with our own money.

saying that lottery, roulette, slots are -EV is completely ignoring the "fun factor"

i'd much rather have a negative expectation of -$50 playing pai gow poker for 2 hours than spend $200 going to a show

UFC China comign up in 3 weeks. Play the following small:

                            Danzig -240 or better***
Dong Hyun Kim -200 or better
Kyung Ho Kang or Alex Caceras at +150 or better
Jon Tuck at -350 or better***
Riki Fukuda at -200 or better***
Takeya Mizugaki at -250 or better***
Hyun Gyu Lim at -200 or better

imo the lines will be sharp except for the danzig, tuck, mizugaki, and fukuda fights, and that's where the money is to be made. thank me later.

Danzig line is already out. The rest won't be up until the week of the fight, maybe not until November 7 or 8.

imo: wait until the day of the fight to place your bets, unless the openers are way different than what i've stated. ie: fukuda at evens or tuck/mizugaki at -200.
