just because it seems 'obvious'. The Bears at home, well healed and rested (though you can make an argument the bye was a momentum breaker) in a division rivalry with a team they have done well against in the last few years. The Bears strong D Vs. a Detroit QB who has been inconsistent, though potentially dangerous; Detroit without much of a running game. The Bears with a fairly balanced attack on offense and have kept bad cutler mostly confined this year, which they can afford to do because their D has been so good. Detroits DB's a bit banged up. Detroit actually shows pretty well in the stats with total yards gained/given up on both sides of the ball, but not so great with the points. My main thesis in this game is that Stafford will throw too much and get picked several times and that Cutler will not screw up (gulp). Da Bears at home. Possible rain for the game as of now.

Giants -1; probably putting too much credence in the recent Niners game but I have to like the Giants and Manning at home Vs. a Redskins team with a very marginal defense and a QB who is still a rookie though obviously dangerous, smart and playing at a very high level. The Giants defense has gotten better with every game and so this is probably my main reason for picking them, along with Manning and his experience level. And with the Giants RB Bradshaw questionable for this game and given the QB's, I may add an O51.5 bet on the side, even though this is a divisional rivalry and I like the Giants D .... RG3 is a big wildcard though.
