kinda shocked at them coming out like this. word was Schiano was leaving because the program was on a rapid decline and he wasn't getting the recruits like he used too(of course NFL money doesn't hurt either but this guy was very loyal to Rutgers, if u remember passed up Miami job a few years ago). guess that theory is down the drain.

I said just about. Arkansas is a mess. Backup shitty QB, coach is in tens of millions of dollars in debt, were doomed from the get go this year. They won by 9 and gave up almost 500 yds. on defense (almost all passing) in that game.

Rutgers has a top notch defense, but they put up 19 pts. against a terrible UCONN defense, and only beat Cuse by 8 at home. They are no where near the best team in the nation. Nice story though.

Rutgers QB is gaining confidence every week. Good running back. Big ass wide receivers. Though raw.
Defense is top notch and still underrated believe it or not. When you see them live it's impessive. Can't wait for Cincy game in three weeks, first real test.

Ru is very underrated . This aint your dads rutgers. This team can play with anyone. Defense is built with speed. Ol and dl have the size and quickness. Maryland transfer rj dill just solidified the ol. Coming into the year that was a huge questuon how the ol would play. As someone mentioned our qb nova in developibg each week gaining confidence. A terrific rb in jj. Quick and a patient runner. Lets his ol do work first. Nfl sized recievers. The d just plain nasty. And the new strength and conditiing coach and ciaching staff agree not to worry about body fat with the ol. Schiano wanted 6 packs wih his ol. Now they let them play with a lil gut lol. And one last thing. I have 1 friend that use to play at ru under schiano and in the league now and 2 players at ru now. He said coach flood just lets them play. Players are not in fear ti make a mistake and be intintrouble.

Unlike a lot of guys when they leave Schiano left the cupboard stacked. Its hard to tell how good they are given who they have played but they are a very good team. Where does the Big east champ go in the BCS?
