Trevor Hoffman will become a free agent

A very bad move in San Diego's part IMO.

I know the Padres were going to rebuild and all, but they needed to resign Hoffman in order to at least save the few games they had a chance of winning next year.

I'll never be able to listen to Hells Bells the same way again.
