    Interesting Stat: NFL
NFL dogs went 12-2 ATS last week (week 6)

They're 57-32-2 this year. Best mark through first 6 weeks going back at least 15 years.

NFL is probably the best sport to wager doggies IMO.

It certainly isn't a bad one. With the parity of the league at an all time high this year, where everyone literally can beat everyone on any given day, and the lack of dominant teams among the usual suspects really adds to this stat.

It's one of those that I don't see changing too much. The year is far too unpredictable to try to manufacture getting that stat back closer to .500 ATS.

        good stuff

keep in mind that there have been ALOT of lines in the +1 to +3 area. and very few double digit lines. We don't have the HUGE favs like the Colts, Pats, Packers, type teams that could go undefeated, or the laughable Lions and Browns that could go 0-16 this year.

its really a "any given Sunday" kinda league and year

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a huge run on chalk covering the next few weeks.

there have been 7 this year so far, ironically the favs in those games are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS. So the big dogs arent covering.

Where the dogs are 'covering' is those 7-9.5 spreads. Favs in those games are an impressive 15-2 SU but a horrible 6-11 ATS. In a 'normal' year favs would cover 13 of those games, so theyre covering less than half of them compared to years past. favs are winning more than they usually do they just are not covering nearly as well as they 'should'.

There was one year where if you bet every favorite on the ML you would of been up over 80 units, lets not overreact
