Is this customary between books?

i think it is actually inconsistent between books i remember this happening in the college world series and different books graded it different

I think each book handles it differently, but one of the more common rules I have seen is that the ML's are settled as per the 5 innings, and the Totals and Run-Lines voided as per the usual MLB postponement rule.

It probably varies from book to book, and some might have different rules in place for play-off games where this happens - just had a look at 365 for instance, and they have a 72 hour rule for MLB Playoff matches that are suspended, so if the game resumes within 72 hours then bets will stand, if not will be voided.

However, no matter if the game is suspended/PPD after 5 complete innings ML wagers are graded up to the last inning completed. Obviously, Runline are graded NO ACTION until the games go 9 innnings.

Would other books do this, or is this just for Heritage?

Op tell heritage to go to their own rules. Their customer service never knows. I am on my phone but go to house rules and baseball
All post season games are not official until winner is declared.

I thought all books graded it that day.

This happened with the rays a few years ago, they ended up winning, but bets were all losers because they trailed when the game was suspended.

The book had new lines posted for the final 2 innings the next day.

Because this is a playoff game, it will always resume until fully completed, unlike regular season games that could end in middle. So some books, I think 5D is one, have special rule just for playoff games that all bets will stand. But without this special rule, the bets on run line, total etc. could be voided. You just to have ask each book to get the specifics.

I asked DSI the same question,

"Winners and Losers are official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4½ innings. If a game is called or suspended, the score after the last full inning determines the winner. If the home team scores to tie - or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning and the inning is not completed, the score at the time the game is called determines the winner. Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following day (unless otherwise specified). We do not recognize suspended games, protests, overturned decisions, etc. for betting purposes.When betting on the total runs (over/under) the game must go 9 innings (8½ if the home team is ahead) to have action. Wagers on total runs will be refunded if a pitcher change occurs prior to both listed pitchers throwing at least one pitch. Rules for the run line wagers are the same as those for baseball totals.Game must be played on scheduled date and site."

Playoff games are not considered unless otherwise noted he clarified for me, so ML would have been paid when the game was suspended, and all other bets would be void. Don't shoot the messenger but this is how it was described to me.

Ended up not mattering(unless you bet the AL game action)-they finished the NL game and the AL game has new starters.
