geraldi trying to flex too much here

cano has the longest hitless streak in mlb playoff history 0-26 and not a word about him. Swisher whiffs at the game winning hit in gm1 and can't hit. Granderson striking out everywhere

Probably helps Yankees if anything. Just trying to load up the lineup with LH bats against Verlander and play some small ball

No way you can bench an MVP-caliber player who hit .313 on the season with 33 bombs. A lefty facing a righty at that

Good. His #'s versus verlander means nothing. In playoffs he is a strikeout artist.

Not sure why there are so many talking about the Lefty v. Righty matchup in this game?

Justin Verlander has struck out 22 batters in the postseason, 18 of them being lefties. I'm sorry, but there's not much to that statistic in this matchup.

The point of the thread I started before it was merged with this one was not to say if it was the right move or not. I personally think it is the right move.

But the point I was trying to make is about ARoid being disrespected by upper mgmt and Cashman who I have a feeling made the call on this one

Everyone and there fukkin mother had ARoid in the lineup tonight playing SS

                      It is a shocker

Nunez is quite possibly top 5 worst fielding shortstops in baseball history. He is atrocious. ARoid in his fukkin sleep at his age is 10x the fielding SS Nunez could ever dream of being. On top of that ARoid is 4 for 7 with 2 hrs vs Verly this yr. Upper Mgmt just wanted to bitchslap and humiliate ARoid so they made the call to bench him

Would not of affected Chavez being in lineup

Again, Aroid would of played SS

Maybe A-rod is a liability as a big league SS.

Nunez is a pretty solid ball player.

I dont think that is the case

I thought 10 days ago he might be injured but the way he has looked he would of leaked it

He is being thoroughly fukkin embarassed and humiliated

If he was truly injured he would of made sure that info got out somehow

No reason to be a hero at this point

                                        He isnt even playing

                                              Haha you're trippin. Under easy

Nunez > A-Rod at SS, Hits for higher AVG, and gives them speed on the bases

If A-Rod played short there would be so many basehits in the 5 hole and up the middle
