    How's your physical fitness level?
Mine, I am not happy with. Weighed myself this morning and I have hit the big 200 (pounds). I don't remember the last time my weight was that high. Probably 20 years ago. I consider my optimum weight to be about 180.

I worked warehouse jobs for a good part of the last 20 years and that kept my weight in check organically. Plenty of exercise. But now, my job is too much desk sitting and I have a hard time motivating myself to exercise for exercise sake.

I have also been enjoying my late night ice cream, cherry cheesecake and jalapeno chips a little too much. I have been getting into a lot of serial snacking. I can't leave those Mike and Ike's Tangy Twisters alone (leading me to wonder if I will soon be starting a thread about my dental health level).

So I'm on a diet as of today. Anybody with me? WHO'S WITH ME ???

But the general question is: how is your physical fitness level?

    :+textinbu Physical fitness?! Me?!:+textinbu

The Mrs puts me on a diet about twice a week. Can't stand your standard 'exercising,' but I do walk the hills around the house a couple of times a week. The good news is I'm still the same weight (252 as of Monday) that I was when I quit puffing the ciggy's three years, six months, five days, 11 hours and 34 minutes ago

Martini's and ice cream are my Achilles.

Thank God Up Above TGO is not around to respond to this one.

I've been playing basketball regularly for the last 20 years of my life and my girlfriend keeps telling me she wants me to be around for a while so she won't let me eat too poorly. That combination has kept me right around 165 which is what I weighed when I was in high school.

I just need to put up a little bit of weight and I'd have the body I want, plus I have already a good physical condition.

I'm in pretty good shape. I'm 38 years old, 6'3" 205 pounds. I should actually weigh about 190. I love those two bowls of mint chocolate chip ice cream late at night. I am very active but eat nothing but shit. The one way I can lose weight is if I cut back some on all the crappy food I eat AND DRINK LOTS of WATER. When my weight is out of control I am drinking 4 or 5 sodas per day. When I get my act together I only drink diet soda and try to drink a gallon of water a day. That is what works for me. I try to do the tread mill for 40 minutes four times a week or run about 3 miles three or four times a week.

running for an hour in the heat will either give you a heart attack or drop pounds.i,ve gone from 220 at new years to 198 now,not easy when you enjoy food and often eat for entertainment and all your friends are big drinkers

Not too good lately....I am about 5'10 and 378 lbs.

like Mudcat I have a desk job more or less but have been losing some weight lately. Since I go home to visit my family from time to time I can get a pretty honest assessment since there are long periods of time (contrast points). This time around I got a few compliments so that is a good thing

If anything I am too skinny. The worse I eat, the less I weight. That is due to losing muscle. I am around 160-ish right now, should be around 175.

I just put a gym in my house with a treadmill, exercise bike, rack of dumbbells, adjustable bench, punching bag, dip/pullup rack, and will be adding a few more things. I also play soccer in an organized league 2x per week. My biggest downfall is my diet. Too easy to grab the snacks rather than cook a good meal. That, along with working so hard that you forget to eat. Who knows, maybe by august I will be back where I am supposed to be.

I'm like you. I love running when it is hot. I'm too much of a whimp to run when it's cold. I like it to be 80 degrees or warmer. I will run even when it is 100. People think I'm nuts but that's what I like.

I am fat no doubt about it, but I carry quite a bit of muscle and work out an hour each day. If you are going to have a job were you sit around each day, you just have to get to the gym, even if have your weight under control, if just keep strength and stamina up.

Try to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals a day. It works and will keep your energy level constant throughout the day.
