Powell is a quick little guy. Not quite as little as Sproles, but close. At least he's a running threat. A threat that keeps team from committing to the blitz.

Too many uncertainties. If Skelton is in, the ball will be out of his hands a lot quicker than with Kolb. Skelton is a pretty good game manager, but he doesn't have the big play. The OC is another uncertainty. Other than losing the last game with his game plan, he's telegraphing exactly if it's going to be run or pass, so that makes it a lot easier on the Minnesota D.

Last time Cards came to this stadium AP ran straight through them. Demolition.

to be honest the skelton factor scares me more than anything else about playing minny,,, i been wanting to go back and watch some tape cause i really dont recall, maybe you can help,,is he better than kolb about getting rid of the ball? i know what kolb brings and that holding the ball way to long with a bad oline, dude just doesnt get rid of it...will skelton make quicker decisions?

what do you think about Tampa? I really think they can cover or win the +3. Saints have done nothing this year to deserve being a road fav.

Saints coach didn't spend the bye week coaching them up and they didn't trade for a defense. What bothers me most is tampa's horrible secondary. Maybe I shouldn't love this play.

Skelton will manage the game better, and is lower on bonehead plays. Kolb is looking for the big play downfield and then chooses getting sacked over throwing an INT. This was the whole issue during the preseason QB battle that was won by Skelton. So Arizona is back to their slightly preferred QB.

Expect more short crossing routes. Brady to Welker type of plays. Amazingly, Kolb and Skelton threw the exact same interception last week. Crossing route, QB staring receiver down, and defender coming in from other side, outside of QB's view. So Skelton, who came in for Kolb, either wasn't paying attention (to the Kolb INT) or can't be accused of a high football IQ.

Generally, Arizona has been good as a dog and not so good as a favorite. But I want to see them stop the bleeding before getting back on them. The big question is if they'll have a running game. That would make Powell's impact a key to the game. Without a running game the pressure on the QB will probably be too much. The O-line sucks and the pocket collapses fast.

i agree with what you saying and like hearing your thoughts on zona as ive read several things you wrote on them, maybe im to high on min but think they worth it to lay the points and see if that oline/run gm holds up against a stout front which we know buf was not,,,on other side like what zona does on d to extent but i been picking holes in them last 2 weeks, while secondary good they take chances and give a up a large ypc, they most def can be run on and min gonna pound the rock, when stl started doing that in 3rd qrtr it really opened up the big play down field (1st gm i really saw rams win at the point of attack all year), ponder prob no bradford on the deep ball but harvin should find some space when zona forced to overcommitt to run,,,think the slide continues another week..
