Yanks will need the perfect storm.

Verlander will have to struggle, the Yanks bats will have to wake up, and Phil penetrating Hughes will have to be stellar on the road in a must win game.

Take ML TIGERS -175. they night not cover the spread but will win still. Verlander will allow no runs.

I dunno, all the Yanks need is 1 inning of Valverde to wake the bats up and pull off a win. Look for them to do a better job than the A's at getting Verlander's pitch count up so they can attack Detroit's bullpen in the later stages of the game.
